AMHERST, MASS. - The Minutewomen will continue their final regular season road trip in New York, facing St. Bonaventure on Saturday, April 19 at 12 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and can be followed live on umassathletics.com or UMassLacrosse on Twitter.

THE MAtchup
  • Saturday's matchup marks the 26th meeting between the two programs with Massachusetts holding a 22-3 record all-time in the series.
  • The Minutewomen claimed an assertive 21-5 victory over the Bonnies last season at Garber Field.
  • Massachusetts has won 53 consecutive A-10 regular season matchups, last falling 17-16 in overtime to VCU on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Cary Street Field.
LAST TIME OUT
  • Massachusetts remained unbeaten in Atlantic 10 play, claiming a definitive 17-7 win over Davidson on Saturday, April 12 in North Carolina. Massachusetts has now scored 15 or more goals in ten of its last 11 games dating back to Wednesday, February 19. 
  • Overall, four different Minutewomen recorded a hat trick on the day as Ava Connaughton (4), Kassidy Morris (4),Tessa Shields (4) and Lauren Tolve (3) each recorded three or more goals. The performances mark the second straight matchup in which four different Minutewomen recorded three or more goals.
  • Shields paced the Minutewomen offensively, recording eight points on four goals and four assists. The Ipswich, Massachusetts took home A-10 Player of The Week honors for her performance, adding three ground balls and three caused turnovers on the day.
  • Connaughton continued to be a catalyst in attack, matching her career high in points totaling seven on four goals and three assists.
  • Jordan Dean once again put together a balanced performance recording 13 draw controls a ground ball, and a caused turnover.
  • The Minutewomen held the Wildcats to their lowest goal total in A-10 play as goalkeeper Catrina Tobin made eight saves on 26 shots faced.

  • The Massachusetts women's lacrosse program comes into 2025 off it's 15th straight Atlantic 10 regular season title.
  • Senior Jordan Dean enters the year as a Inside Lacrosse Division I Preseason First Team All-American.
  • Dean comes off a 2024 season which saw her set the NCAA Division I single season record for draw controls, breaking the previous mark of 221 while finishing the season with 261. The junior was named to the Atlantic 10 First-Team All-Conference squad after finishing with double-digit draw controls in 15-of-18 games, including a career-high 20 against VCU
  • Senior Kassidy Morris earned Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference after scoring a team-leading 63 goals while adding 16 assists to rank second on the team in points with 79 last season. The Washago, Ontario native posted hat tricks in 14 games and posted seven goals in back-to-back wins over VCU and UConn.
  • Overall the Minutewomen return 23 players from last season while welcoming 12 newcomers comprised of nine freshman and three transfers.
On the Sideline
  • Head Coach Jana Drummond enters her third season at the helm of the Minutewomen, holding a career record of 39-11 (.78). Drummond has coached the Minutewomen to the Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship in all three seasons, coaching five major conference award winners.
  • Assistant Lia Laprise enters her second season in Amherst, coming to UMass after a standout career at UConn, where she finished her career as the program's all-time leader in points and assists.
  • Assistant Avergy Giorgio begins her tenure with the Minutewomen after two stints as an assistant women's lacrosse coach at Trinity College. A former Division I Lacrosse player at Holy Cross and assistant at both the club level and Trinity College, Giorgio brings immense experience to the Massachusetts program.
  • Program alum Kendra Harbinger returns as Director of Player Development after playing her graduate season with the Minutewomen in 2022. Harbinger earned IWLCA Second-Team All-Region and second-team all-league honors in 2022 after leading Mass in points with 62 and goals with 49.
