UMass Athletics will continue to provide annual diversity and inclusion education and programming for all student-athletes and staff through UMass Aspires and Real Talks. The Athletic Department will also continue to partner with the Stonewall Center at UMass, encouraging student-athletes and staff to attend gender and sexuality education workshops.

Title IX Sexual Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Reporting (Resources)
The University of Massachusetts, Amherst and UMass Athletics are committed to fostering an environment in which all members of our campus community are safe, secure, and free from misconduct and harassment of any form, including but not limited to, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual exploitation, sexual assault, dating and intimate partner violence, stalking, and retaliation. Our community expects that all interpersonal relationships and interactions – especially those of an intimate nature – be grounded upon mutual respect, open communication, and clear consent.
The University encourages all members of our community to promptly report allegations or concerns involving the above-mentioned conduct. Prompt reporting allows the university to carefully assess the allegations and undertake any necessary steps to eliminate the conduct, prevent its recurrence, and address its effects.
Athletics staff including coaches, administrators, trainers, and others are required to report actual or perceived disclosures of prohibited misconduct and harassment to the University’s Title IX Coordinator. Reporting allows the university to provide appropriate support to the victim, and other necessary support to address the situation.
Reports should be made to the Title IX Coordinator. The University’s Title IX Coordinator is Kerri Thompson Tillett, J.D. who also serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access (“EOA”).

Reports can also be made to Kirsten Britton - Senior Associate AD/SWA, who serves as the designated Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Athletics. Reports can be directed to Ms. Britton at via email (britton@umass.edu), phone (860-771-0403), or in person (Boyden RM 221). Any report filed with Ms. Britton will be shared with the Title IX Coordinator. Together, they will coordinate the university’s response. The Equal Opportunity and Access office is responsible for investigating complaints arising out of the Policy Against Discrimination, Harassment, and Related Interpersonal Violence and the Title IX Policy & Procedures. EOA is tasked with coordinating the university’s response to reports of prohibited conduct, as well as provides advice, assistance, and training on all issues related to harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment under Title IX, and retaliation.

The safety of our campus and community is paramount. Fan Code of Conduct
UMass Athletics hopes to provide a memorable gameday experience for all guests. Please help us enhance the fan experience by demonstrating sportsmanship at all times. If you encounter unruly behavior, please contact a game management representative. Spectators shall refrain from using foul, abusive, offensive or discriminatory language or gestures on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, age, race, national origin, religion, military status, disability status, or any other characteristic. Spectators must remain off the playing surfaces at all times. UMass reserves the right to remove, without refund, any individuals disrupting other guests, team representatives, or officials.
