Mission: To aid in the holistic development of our student-athletes.

Philosophy: Our application of evidence-based programming is focused on the complete physical development of our student-athletes. We strive to improve the basic characteristics that are expressed in their respective sport while adding value to their tactical preparation and reducing the risk of injury. These basic characteristics include, but are not limited to strength, power, speed, energy system development. The principles included for improving these qualities vary and are at the discretion of our individual performance coaches.

UMass Sports Performance Symposium 2024 
The UMass Athletics Sports Performance department is hosting a Sports Performance Symposium on May 31, 2024 and June 1, 2024. The symposium will take place at the UMass Campus Center located on campus in Amherst, Massachusetts.
