Women's Lacrosse Duo Earn Student Athletes of the Week

Dean and Morris receive recognition for stellar weekly performances
AMHERST, Mass.-- Massachusetts women's lacrosse players Jordan Dean and Kassidy Morris have each been tabbed the UMass Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by UMass Five College Credit Union.
Jordan Dean, who also received Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of The Week, earned the selection after putting together an all-around performance over the weekend recording 12 draw controls, five caused turnovers and three grounds balls. The Senior led a Massachusetts defense which allowed just six goals and nine shots on goal in a dominant 15-6 win over George Washington on Saturday.
Kassidy Morris continued to pace the offensive effort, tallying a game-high eight points on five goals and three assists, to lead the Minutewomen to a convincing 15-6 victory over George Washington. The performance marks her fourth game this season with five or more goals.
The Minutewomen remain on the road facing Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, March 26 at 2 p.m. in Washington, D.C. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and can be followed live on umassathletics.com or UMassLacrosse on Twitter.
