The Minutewomen set to host Davidson on Sunday at 11 a.m.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis fell, 4-2, to Boston University on Friday evening at the Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center.
Boston University took the doubles point after winning at courts No. 2 and No. 3. Blanka DeMicheli and Madison Liu of the Terriers defeated partners Ella Faessler and Amelia Tye, 6-4, at No. 2, before Nina Gulbransen and Emily Zhao of BU took down Martina Pavissich and Owethu Makhanya, 6-0, at No. 3.
In singles competition, the Minutewomen picked up two points. Belle Jonglertrakul won 6-3, 7-6(6) at court No. 3 over the Terriers' Liu, while Tye downed DeMicheli of BU, 6-2, 7-6(5) at No. 4. Boston University went on to grab three more points to add to its total at No. 1, No. 1 and No. 5 singles.
Massachusetts hosts Atlantic 10 rival Davidson on Sunday, March 30, at the Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center at 11 a.m.
