Minutewomen Take Bulls to the Limit, Fall in OT Heartbreaker 82-84

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Minutewomen's (17-15) WNIT run came to an end in the second round, unable to overcome Buffalo (26-7) on the road in an 84-82 overtime bout.
Yahmani McKayle led the UMass offense with 19 points on 3-5 shooting from three point range. The freshman added four rebounds and three assists on the day.
Stefanie Kulesza added 18 points, five steals, three rebounds, and three assists in 30 minutes of action. The senior guard was efficient in her production, going 7-11 from the field and 3-6 from range.
Megan Olbrys tallied a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Olbrys also dished out eight assists, marking a career-high for the junior forward.
Allie Palmieri (12 points) and Lilly Ferguson (10 points) rounded out the double-figure scorers for UMass. Palmieri scored 10 of her 12 in the fourth and overtime periods, helping Massachusetts weather the Buffalo surge late in the game. Ferguson added six rebounds and four assists.
