Massachusetts Men’s Track and Field Show’s Out at Harvard Elite, Open and Scarlet and White Invite

AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts men's track and field team had an impressive weekend, posting five new top-10 placements in the all-time program performance list and eight top-three finishes across the Crimson Open and Crimson Elite on Friday and Saturday in Cambridge, and the Scarlet and White Meet in Boston on Saturday.

Highlights from Competition:
Crimson Elite
- Hunter Feitel claimed a top 10 finish (9th) in the men's pole vault, clearing 15'1".
- Mathew Acquah finished sixth in the men's triple jump with a leap of 48'2".
- Jacob Brown (4th) and Elijah Wolinski (5th) finished back-to-back in the men's heptathlon, while also claiming the fifth and sixth-best scores in program history with 4,869 and 4,831, respectively.
Crimson Open
- Aiden Donovan claimed gold in the men's shot put with a throw of 51'0", also good enough for the ninth-best throw in program history. Brennan Ibbitson also medaled, earning bronze with a total distance of 44'3.5".
- Corey Sanders claimed gold in the men's 400m run crossing the line in 49.65. Aidan Lee secured a bronze medal with a time of 50.87, with Mark Sten (6th) not far behind running in 51.09.
- Half of the fastest top-10 men's mile times came from Minutemen, with Nicholas Calitri pacing the group with a time of 4:18.97 for gold. Liam Ouellette claimed bronze finishing in 4:21.39, with Riley Cole (5th), Preston Sanderville (8th) and Tyler Medeiros (9th) crossing the line in 4:26.37, 4:28.75 and 4:29.82, respectively.
- Nick Cramer finished eighth in the men's 60m hurdles finals with a time of 9.13. His time of 8.51 in the preliminaries was good enough for the 10th fastest time in program history.
- Winston Lewis earned a silver in the men's 200m run finishing in 21.81, also claiminging the seventh-fastest time in program history.
- Tory Stuckey, Nicholas Calitri, Mark Sten and Michael Sanchez combined to run a time of 3:27.41 in the men's 4x400y relay, claiming gold.
- Jack Ngo placed fifth in the men's weigh throw with a toss of 47'3.5".
- Aidan Lee placed fourth in the men's high jump clearing 6'0.75".
Scarlet and White Invite
- Carson Crump had the eighth-highest jump in the men's high jump clearing 6'0.75".
- Chamberlain Guthrie rounded out the top five in the men's long jump with a distance of 22'3.75".
