Massachusetts Tennis Readies To Close Out Regular Season Against Rhode Island

The Minutewomen celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis closes out their homestand and the regular season with a matchup against Atlantic 10 foe, Rhode Island on Saturday April 20, at 1 p.m.
The match is set to celebrate two Minutewomen in Graduate Student, Polina Akimova and Senior, Danielle Hack during the Senior Day ceremony prior to play.
Last Time Out
UMass picked up a 4-1 win over Fordham last Sunday; improving to a 3-1 mark in the A-10. The duos of Danielle Hack and Thamonpan Jonglertrakul, as well as Ella Faessler and Amelia Tye picked up 6-3 victories, respectively.
After clinching the doubles point, Hack and Jonglertrakul completed dominant wins on their singles courts– while Faessler completed a come-from-behind thriller, 4-6, 7-6, (2) 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
Scouting Rhode Island
The Rams hold a 13-5 overall record, and are 3-2 in the A-10. Last season, UMass swept Rhode Island in the regular season finale, 4-0.
Next Up
Massachusetts prepares to travel to Lake Nona, Florida for the A-10 Championship at the USTA National Campus beginning on Wednesday, April 24 through Saturday, April 27. Seeding and match times are yet to be determined.
