Welcome Back
- UMass returns eight members of its 2024 championship squad, including three individuals who finished in the top-20 overall at the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships, helping the program to its third A-10 title— Collin Catherwood who placed fifth overall, Liam Ouellette who placed 14th overall and Eric Unger who placed 19th overall.
- Also returning for the Minutemen are sophomore Parker Broderick, sophomore Alec Carew, sophomore Kailas Ciatto, senior Riley Cole and sophomore Cyrus Hansen.
New Kids On The Block
- The Minutemen have added six freshmen to the squad for 2025 –Altamo Aschkenasy of Brookline; Liam Davidson of Queensbury, New York; Riley Hubisz of Ithaca, New York, Emmett Johnson of Burke, Vermont; Archie Pinder of Chorleywood, England; and Logan Walsh of Ludlow.
Roster Breakdown
- The UMass roster features two seniors, two juniors, five sophomores and five freshmen.
- Five Minutemen are Massachusetts natives, with three hailing from New York, two from Vermont and one each from Colorado and Connecticut.
- The Roster features two internationals: one from Canada and England.
Mark Your Calendars
- After the season-opening Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational, on September 20, the squad will travel to Dartmouth for the Maribel Sanchez Souther Memorial Invitational for the first time, their lone competition date for the month of September.
- The Minutemen will then kick off October at the New England Championships in Hopkinton, N.H. at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds on Friday, October 10.
- On Friday, October 17, Minutemen will head to Princeton, N.J., for the Princeton Fall Classic.
- November opens with UMass' debut at the MAC Championships in Buffalo, N.Y. on Saturday, November 1.
0 The team will then travel to the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Friday, November 14, in Hopkinton, N.H. at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds.
Ready For MACtion
- UMass will be the 10th member of the Mid-American Conference in men's cross country, joining Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Ohio and Toledo.
- Toledo won the 2024 MAC title with 49 points, followed by Miami (Ohio) (51) and Eastern Michigan (78).
- The MAC names an All-MAC First Team and Second Team at the conference championship meet with seven individuals earning spots on each squad.
