Massachusetts Cross Country Announces Schedule For 2025

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts cross country has announced its 2025 competition schedule for its inaugural season in the Mid-American Conference. The Minutemen and Minutewomen, who departed the Atlantic 10 with first and second-place finishes at the championships last fall, respectively, will open the upcoming season with their annual UMass Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational on Saturday, August 30 at the UMass Cross Country Course.

Both teams will travel to Hanover, N.H., on Saturday, September 20, for the Maribel Sanchez Souther Memorial Invitational, for their lone competition date for the month.

The Minutewomen will then kick off October at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa., on Friday October 3. One week later, on October 10, both UMass squads will travel to the New England Championships in Hopkinton, N.H. at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds.

On Friday, October 17, the teams will split up with the Minutewomen going to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y., for the ECAC Championships, while the Minutemen will head to Princeton, N.J., for the Princeton Fall Classic.

The women's squad will wrap up the month with a trip to Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn., for the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday, October 24.

November opens with UMass' debut at the MAC Championships in Buffalo, N.Y. on Saturday, November 1. The teams will then travel to the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Friday, November 14, in Hopkinton, N.H. at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds.
