Massachusetts Rowing To Compete At The Knecht Cup

The 2025 Knecht Cup will take place on April 12-13
AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts rowing team will take part in its third event of the spring season this weekend when it heads to Cherry Hill, New Jersey for the 2025 Knecht Cup on April 12-13.Â
Massachusetts will field boats in the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Varsity 4 and Second Varsity 4, beginning with the Varsity 4's 8:34 a.m. race on Saturday morning (Heat 1: UMass, Mercyhurst, Fordham, Wisconsin and Monmouth). Â

Season SummaryÂ
- Massachusetts opened the season by sending three boats to the Sarasota 2K on March 28-29. In the Petite Finals, UMass placed fifth in the Varsity Four (7:46.37) and sixth in both the Second Varsity 8 (7:12.10) and Varsity 8 (6:49.82). Â
- The squad then took part in the Saint Joseph's Invitational at Overpeck Park on April 5. The Varsity 4 consisting of Amanda Scally, Felicity Pye, Gretta Anderson, Annika Wisdom and Bella Ross led the way by winning its afternoon final (8:03.376).Â
