McKayle Named A-10's Rookie of the Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Freshman guard Yahmani McKayle was named the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Week for the second time in her career, announced Monday by the conference. The freshman guard led the team in scoring this past week, averaging 17.5 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals en route to a 1-1 week for the Minutewomen.
The Queens, N.Y. native tied a career-high of 21 points against St. Bonaventure, hitting 5-of-8 attempts from behind the arc. McKayle added five assists and four rebounds on the day.
McKayle followed up with 14 points, three assists, an four steals against Davidson, leading the team in scoring.
