Elle Decatur Named UMass Student-Athlete Of The Week

Decatur will be recognized Wednesday at the UMass Sports Luncheon.
AMHERST, Mass. – Freshman rower Elle Decatur has been named the UMassFive Student-Athlete of the Week, as announced on Tuesday. She will be honored at the UMass Sports Luncheon on Wednesday at the Berkshire Dining Commons.

Decatur served as the stroke of Massachusetts' Second Varsity 8 on Saturday at the at the Saint Joseph's Invitational at Overpeck Park in Leonia, New Jersey. That boat finished in a time of 8:11.424 to place first among all three morning heats, besting Columbia, Navy, Marist, Rhode Island, George Washington, Bucknell, UConn and Saint Joseph's.
Decatur and the Massachusetts rowing team will be back in action this weekend, competing at the Knecht Cup in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14. Â
