Rowing To Open Season At Sunshine State Invitational
March 28, 2024 | Rowing
SARASOTA, Fla. - Massachusetts rowing opens the 2024 season this weekend at the Sunshine State Invitational at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida.Â
Massachusetts will compete in the neutral site event, vying against a mix of competitive schools including Boston College, Michigan State, Louisville, Iowa and defending conference champions in Jacksonville.Â
"We're very excited to open the season up," head coach Eric Carcich said. "The team is anxious to line up against crews outside of their teammates. It will be our first-time racing at the Sunshine State Regatta, and the field is packed with quality crews from many strong conferences. Can't wait!"Â
Racing will commence at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and start back up on Saturday at 8:20 a.m.Â
