Women's Soccer Opens A-10 Play Thursday Versus Davidson

Minutewomen and Wildcats set for 4 PM kick-off at Rudd Field.
AMHERST, Mass. - The Atlantic 10 schedule officially gets underway on Thursday afternoon when the UMass women's soccer team hosts Davidson at Rudd Field. Kick-off is set for 4 PM and the match will be streamed live on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network.
The Minutewomen are coming off a 1-0 win over Yale last Sunday afternoon which improved UMass to 3-4-1 for the non-conference season. Over the last five matches, UMass has found success going 3-1-1 in that stretch. The shutout over the Bulldogs marked the second clean sheet of the year.
Kelly Marra scored the game-winning goal against Yale giving her a pair of goals for the season to tie Erin Doster for the team lead. Salma Anastasio is tied with both of them for the team high in points (4) with a goal and two assists.
Cassidy Babin has been the keeper of record for the year with a 1.46 goals-against-average and a 0.829 save percentage. Thursday's match will mark the 50th appearance for Babin who has played nearly 4,600 minutes.
Davidson enters the match with a 2-7-0 overall record before having to fly back to North Carolina to host VCU on Sunday. Following the match against the Wildcats, UMass will stay at home to host Fordham.
