DeVivo Gives Men's Soccer 1-0 Win At Temple

AMBLER, Pa. - Chicopee native Connor DeVivo scored his first career goal in the 60th minute giving the UMass men's soccer team a 1-0 win at Temple on Friday afternoon. The win keeps the Minutmen undefeated in the Atlantic 10 at 3-0-1 as they head to Saint Joseph's on Sunday (1 PM). UMass (4-3-6 overall) has allowed just one goal in conference play this season for a 0.24 GAA mark in league games.
UMass was able to muster the win despite being outshot, 13-5 including a first half when the Minutemen didn't post a single shot.
UMass senior goalkeeper Chris Piekos notched five saves in the game and posted the whitewash, his fourth of the season.
Devivo recovered a deflection off a shot from Michael Doherty and chipped it over Temple keeper Bret Mollon for his first-career goal.
Temple falls to 4-7-2 overall and 2-2 in the A-10.
