Basketball Hall Of Fame To Host UMass Day This Saturday

AMHERST, Mass. - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has slated Saturday, September 23 as UMass Day from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. with player appearances, basketball clinics, special discounts and fun for the entire family.
The excitement begins when the UMass cheerleaders take Center Court along with the official school mascot, Sam the Minuteman, to get things going with an exhibition of cheers. At 10:30 a.m. both UMass women's and men's basketball coaches Marnie Dacko and Travis Ford will give a preview of the upcoming season. Then the UMass Minutewomen along with Minutemen will take the floor with a basketball clinic for all ages and provide tips to sharpen basketball skills of all levels.
Throughout the event, players from both the men's and women's teams will be on hand to sign autographs and meet and greet Hall of Fame guests. Guests will have the chance to win tickets to UMass basketball games and there will be giveaways for all ages.
UMass Kids Club members who show their VIP Credential at the ticket booth will receive a Free admission. Guests who show their team spirit by wearing UMass gear will receive $3.00 off regular admission. The Hall of Fame is open daily, Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Regular Admission (ages 15 and Up) is $16.99 and Youth Admission is $11.99 (ages 5-15). Children under 5 years are FREE. Senior Citizens can enjoy a discount admission of $13.99. Parking is also FREE.
