• Three-year letterman and two-time co-captain in football as a defensive back and wide receiver at Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School
• Three-time all-conference selection
• Twice named all-district and all-region
• Had 34 tackles and two interceptions as a senior as he helped Bishop Sullivan to an 8-3 record
• Also lettered twice in track and field and competed in the 55m, 4x200 and long jump
• Was a district champion in the long jump
• Member of the state champion 4x200m relay team
• Competed for Bishop Sullivan when the squad won a track and field district championship
