Football Announces Home Game Kickoff Times

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts Athletics announced the 2017 football home game kickoff times for the five McGuirk Alumni Stadium games and the Fenway Gridiron Series meeting with Maine on Thursday. An announcement detailing television broadcast and live stream availability for each home game is expected in early August.

The season will begin on Sat., Aug. 26 with a 6 p.m. contest against Hawai'i. The remaining four McGuirk Alumni Stadium contests – Sept. 9 vs. Old Dominion, Sept. 30 vs. Ohio, Oct. 21 vs. Georgia Southern and Oct. 28 vs. Appalachian State – will all begin at 3:30 p.m. The Fenway Park meeting with Maine on Nov. 11 starts at 4 p.m.

Single game tickets - including those for the Fenway Gridiron Series – and season tickets packages are available for purchase now. Tickets to the five McGuirk Alumni Stadium games are available over the phone by dialing 866-UMASS-TIX, in-person at the Mullins Center Box Office during business hours or online here. Gameday at McGuirk Alumni Stadium will feature five updates to fan experience beginning in 2017.

Any vehicle entering the parking lots surrounding the stadium will require a parking pass this season, at the cost of $5 when purchased ahead of time and $10 cash-only on the day of the game.
UMass will host the Commonwealth Club at all home football games. Season ticket holders receive free admission. Non-season ticket holders can enter at a cost of $5. Food and drink will be available for purchase inside the Commonwealth Club, which will open three hours before the game and close at kickoff.
Green space tailgating returns to Stadium Drive in 2017, located in the grass area between Lot 22 and Stadium Drive. Parking will be available along Stadium Drive before each home game beginning four (4) hours prior to kickoff.
The Minuteman March tradition will continue as the team will arrive at McGuirk Alumni Stadium before each home game by walking South along Stadium Drive to the Football Performance Center approximately two hours, 15 minutes prior to kickoff. Adding to the atmosphere, the Minuteman Marching Band, under the direction of Timothy Anderson, will perform a 15-minute concert on Stadium Drive 2.5 hours prior to kickoff.
The Student Village at all 2017 UMass football games will be located in the West-most portion of Lot 11. A select number of reserved Lot 11 spaces will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis for UMass students at no cost.
