Incoming Women's Hoops Freshmen Tabbed McDonald's All-America Nominees

Early signees Autumn Giles and Aerial Starks among national nominees for marquee event.
AMHERST, Mass. - The initial list of nominees for the McDonald's All-American Games, one of the nation's most recognized prep showcases, was officially released on Tuesday with UMass women's basketball early signees Autumn Giles and Aerial Starks among the highly touted group of players. Giles is a 5-foot-9 guard from Ft. Myers, Fla., while Starks is a 5-foo-9 guard from College Station, Texas.
The duo were officially announced as signing with UMass as part of four early signess for head coach Tory Verdi's first recruiting class at UMass. They will join Alexia Allesch (Baskin Ridge, N.J.) and Paige McCormick (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) next fall.
The McDonald's All-American Games are scheduled for March 29 in Chicago at the United Center. The boys game will be the 40th in the event's history, while the girls game will be the 16th.
The rosters have yet to be announced, but the players will be chosen from the state-by-state list of nominees.
On the girls side, Texas has 123 players nominated, including Starks, followed by 27 from Oregon, 22 from California and 21 from Maryland and Mississippi.
