Cross Country - 2/20/2012 130 Named To A-10 Commissioner's Fall Honor RollA total of 130 UMass student-athletes earned Atlantic 10 Commissioner Fall Honor Roll accolades as announced by the league office. A total of 1,348 student-athletes in the league posted 3.5 GPA's or better which is the most in Bernadette McGlade's tenure as league commissioner. UMass' total marks the most honored since Spring 2007 when 134 earned the distinction. MORE W. Cross Country - 11/12/2011 WXC Crosses Season's Finish Line At NCAA'sThe 2011 cross country campaign came to a close on Saturday for UMass. The Minutewomen competed at the highly competitive NCAA Regional Championships in Amherst, N.Y. where Julie LaFreniere's squad placed 21st in a field of 36 teams by amassing 639 points. Cross Country - 11/1/2011 Co-UMass Athletes Of The Week Go To Roa & HolmesWith a 28-7 victory for the UMass football team and a fifth place individual finish at the A-10 Cross Country Championships this past weekend, Tyler Holmes and Karen Roa took home Co-UMass Athletes of the Week on Monday. Holmes aided the Minutemen's victory over Richmond, recording one interception. Roa helped the Minutewomen to a tenth place team finish at the Conference Meet. MOREW. Cross Country - 10/29/2011 Roa, In Fifth, Leads WXC At A-10'sWith a fifth place finish in a field of 128 harriers, Karen Roa (Jamaica, N.Y.) stood out for UMass at the A-10 Championships on Saturday. The Minutewomen took home tenth place in a field of 14 conference squads by tallying 231 points. Roa was also named to the A-10 All-Conference team for her performance. La Salle won the A-10 Title on both the men's and women's sides. MOREW. Cross Country - 10/27/2011 FEATURE: Roa Running Towards Her FutureSince arriving on the Amherst scene, Karen Roa has been a standout competitor for UMass in both cross country and track and field. This season, the Jamaica, N.Y. native has been the Minutewomen's top harrier, placing first on the team in all four races she has competed in.
