Cross Country - 3/9/2013 139 UMass Student-Athletes Named To Atlantic 10 Fall Commissioner's Honor RollA total of 139 UMass student-athletes earned Atlantic 10 Commissioner Fall Honor Roll accolades as announced by the league office. A record total of 1,637 student-athletes in the league posted 3.5 GPA's or better which is the most in Bernadette McGlade's tenure as league commissioner. MORE W. Cross Country - 2/25/2013 Women's Cross Country Honored For Academic Achievement In 2012Monday afternoon the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released their annual list of 200 All-Academic Teams in Division I that maintained a GPA of 3.0 or better over the course of the year. UMass was honored along with 10 other Atlantic 10 teams for their academic achievement in 2012. The Minutewomen recorded a GPA of 3.352 and had the fifth best GPA in the A-10. MORE W. Cross Country - 11/9/2012 Powers Leads The Way In Season FinaleOn Friday afternoon the women's cross country team competed in the regional championships and finished 22nd of 37 total teams. Highlighting the Minutewomen's performance was sophomore Katie Powers finishing 99th of a total 253 competitors. Powers finished first for the team with a time of 22:03.7 and ran an average 5:52 per mile. MORE W. Cross Country - 11/8/2012 Season's End Looming, Women's Cross Country To Compete In NCAA Regionals FridayThis week the Minutewomen will compete in perhaps their final meet of the 2012 season. The squad will compete in the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Friday and pending their performance, could either move on to the NCAA Championships next week, or their season will come to a close. The team left campus for Madison, Conn. Thursday and will run against the best in the northeast at 12:00 pm tomorrow afternoon. MORE W. Cross Country - 10/27/2012 Zinner Thrives In Spotlight Of A-10 ChampionshipsThe women's cross country team finished 12th Saturday in the A-10 Championships. Katie Clark of Butler took home the crown finishing first and led her team to a championship as La Salle and Richmond finished second and third respectively. MORE W. Cross Country - 10/25/2012 Minutewomen To Compete In A-10 Conference ChampionshipsOn Saturday the Minutewomen will compete in the highly anticipated A-10 Championships where the team will go head-to-head with the conference's top runners.
