AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass women's cross country team will finish its season when the squad heads to New York, N.Y. for the ECAC Championships this Saturday. The Minutewomen are coming off a 20th place finish at the NCAA Regional Qualifier, and are looking to wrap up their season with one final quality performance.

Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year Courtney Baldwin heads into the ECACs having led UMass in each of the squad's last four meets. At the NCAA Regional Qualifier last weekend, Baldwin had an impressive 23rd place finish out of 243 runners. She finished the 6k in 22:55. Baldwin will look to cap off her extraordinary rookie season with another excellent performance on Saturday.

Earlier this week, redshirt junior Shiyi Zan was voted to the Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Academic All-Conference Team. This was the third straight time that Zan was voted to the team by the conference's sports information directors. This recognition will surely provide Zan with a confidence boost for the ECAC Championships.
