Rachel Hilliard will be a strong returning sophomore for the Minutewomen this season.

Amherst, Mass. -

The Minutewomen graduated their top runner last year in Karen Roa but have a young returning squad ready to make an impact. The Minutewomen will be led by Danielle McNiff, Courtney Baldwin and Sarah Barrett. The former A-10 Rookie of the Year, Courtney Baldwin (Lowell, Mass.) will return for her senior season and look to continue her success on the course. Last year Baldwin placed top four in every meet she competed in, including one first place finish for the team while placing top 10 overall. Danielle McNiff (Hingham, Mass.) is another senior who will be leaned on to lead this team as co-captain this year, along with Danielle Allocco (Summit, N.J.) and Caprice Cappucci (Medfield, Mass.). McNiff placed top three in three meets last year and top seven in six of seven possible meets she could compete in. Junior, Sarah Barrett is also returning this year and could make a difference for the team this season. The Topsfield, Massachusetts native placed top six in all seven meets last year, showing consistency and durability throughout the year. Also with one year's worth of experience under their belt, expect Katie Powers (Holbrook, Mass.) and Rachel Hilliard (Hookstown, Pa.) to be strong competitors this year as sophomores. Rachel Hilliard had an impressive freshman season placing top four in all seven meets last year and placing top three in six of them. Powers was also competitive as a freshman, placing top five for the team three times last year and placed top seven in the six meets she competed in.
