Results

MADISON, Conn. - On Friday afternoon the women's cross country team competed in the regional championships and finished 22nd of 37 total teams. Highlighting the Minutewomen's performance was sophomore Katie Powers finishing 99th of a total 253 competitors. Powers finished first for the team with a time of 22:03.7 and ran an average 5:52 per mile.

Following Powers for UMass were two of the three freshmen making the trip. Carly Zinner finished second with a time of 22:15.8 while Molly McMahon placed third, crossing the finish line at 22:39.4. Sophomore harrier Rachel Hilliard finished fourth on the team at 22:40.6. Sarah Barrett trailed Hilliard at 22:56.8 and finishing fifth for UMass.

Rounding off the race for the Minutewomen were Lizzy Blanchard and Hannah White. Blanchard ran in her first meet since the Paul Short Invitational and finished sixth with a time of 23:08.9. White finished the 6k race at 23:12.6 and finished seventh for UMass.
