WARWICK, R.I. - With 75 points, the UMass women's cross country team placed third as a team in a field of four squads at the Rothenberg Race on Friday afternoon. The Brown University hosted meet was the final competition before the highly anticipated A-10 Championships for the Minutewomen.

Leading UMass for the first time this year was 2009 A-10 Rookie of the Year Courtney Baldwin. The junior harrier placed tenth in a field of 53 competitors with a time of 19:13.2.

Colleen Wetherbee and Rachel Hilliard trailed Baldwin in 12th and 16th respectively with times of 19:22.8 and 19:39.0. Sarah Barrett and Mary Cole rounded out the UMass quintet in 17th and 20th. The duo crossed the line at 19:40.5 and 19:57.1 respectively.

Julie LaFreniere's squad returns to action on October 29 for the A-10 Championships in Charlotte, N.C.
