DURHAM, N.H. - The University of Massachusetts women's cross country team placed third at the College Woods Course on the campus of the University of New Hampshire this afternoon.

Leading the way for the Minutewomen on the 5,000-meter course was senior Kristin Cisowski (Salem, N.H.), who finished ninth with a time of 19:47. Sophomore Molly Ketschek (Wilbraham, Mass.) placed 12th with a time of 20:09. Next for UMass was senior Megan McCormick (State College, Pa.) with a time of 20:26, which was good for 18th place. Freshman Alexis Anzelone (Westfield, N.J.) placed 25th, completing the course in a time of 20:44.

Providence won the women's meet with a team score of 15, followed by New Hampshire with 63 points, UMass with 90 points and Maine with 93 points.

The women's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 15, at Franklin Park against Boston University, Vermont, Maine, and Central Connecticut. The meet starts at noon.
