Hilliard Comes Out On Top For UMass At New England Championships

With most of the Minutewomen's top runners getting rest this week UMass places 26th of 37 in the New England Championships.

The Minutewomen will travel to Charlotte, N.C. for this year's Atlantic 10 Championships.

Rothenberg Race On Deck For Women's XC

This will be the second and final trip of the season to the Ocean State for Julie LaFreniere's squad.

As a junior in 2012: Finished sixth for UMass with a time of 19:45.6 in the A-10 Championships (10/27) ... Crossed the finish line at 20:10.30 for a tenth place finish on the team and a 41st overall at the Rothenberg Race (10/19) ... Finished fourth for UMass for her best time of the season of 19:28.47 at the New England Championships (10/7).

As a sophomore in 2011: Competed in two meets ... At the Rothenberg Race (10/14), placed ninth on the team and 31st overall with a time of 20:13.2 ... Clocked in at 19:54.15 at the Minuteman Invite (9/17), good enough for tenth on the UMass squad and 50th overall.

Before UMass: A 2011 graduate of Sharon High School ... Was a three year letter winner under coaches Tim Cimeno and Alan Conway ... Tabbed Most Improved XC Athlete as a sophomore ...
