1998 Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection 1998 AVCA All-District I selection holds the UMass record for digs in a single match with 36 all-time UMass leader in digs per game (4.08) ranks second in school history in career digs (1,455), third in service aces (104), fourth in total attacks (2,621), fifth in kills (927), kills per game (2.60) and block assists (110), sixth in total blocks (129) and seventh in hitting percentage (.208) extremely versatile on the court very explosive hitter from the outside.
As a Junior in 1998: Selected to the All-Atlantic 10 team and the AVCA All-District I Team led the Atlantic 10 in digs for the third consecutive season and finished 14th in the nation in digs per game (4.20) posted double-figures in digs 26 times, leading the team in digs in 23 matches, while recording 20 or more digs on nine occasions posted double-doubles (double-figures in both kills and digs) in 22 matches, including a string of 17 straight ranked seventh in the A-10 in kills per game (3.81) and eighth in hitting percentage (.265) led UMass with 462 digs, the fourth best single season mark in school history also led team in service aces (33) and solo blocks (13) one of two UMass players to play in all 110 games and 29 matches earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Week (10/26) after recording 27 kills and 28 digs in two matches twice named WHMP / UMass Athlete of the Week (9/23 and 11/25) .named to the UMass Athletic Directors Honor Roll during the Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 semesters.
As a Sophomore in 1997: Led the Atlantic 10 in digs per game (3.93) led UMass with 464 digs, second best mark in school history recorded 19 double-double matches with at least 10 kills and 10 digs one of two UMass players to play in 118 games during the 31 matches set the UMass record for digs in a single-match with 36 against Mercer (8/30) recorded 26 matches with double-digits in digs, including a streak of 12 consecutive matches (9/27-10/31) also saw some playing time at setter in the final two matches of the season and finished the year second on the team with 132 assists.
As a Freshman in 1996: Started all 37 matches and played in 129 of the 131 games as a true freshman set a new UMass single-season record with her 529 digs finished the season just seven digs shy of the A-10 single-season record (536) led the team and conference with 4.10 digs per game posted 20 or more digs on nine occasions recorded double-digit digs a total of 25 times, including six straight matches to end the season named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week (11/24), posting 16 kills and 28 digs at Virginia Tech (11/22); and 12 kills and 23 digs at George Washington (11/23) named to the UMass Athletic Directors honor roll in both the Fall 1996 and Spring 1997 semesters.
High School: Tabbed as a Fab 50 prospect coming out of high school by Volleyball Monthly four-year letterwinner for Coaches Dave Mohs and Dennis Creighton at Edison recorded 506 kills and 830 digs in her scholastic career had 266 kills, 80 assists and 327 digs with a .314 hitting percentage in her senior campaign second team All-State and first team All-Sunset League selection as a senior first team All-Sunset League while leading her high school to the 1994 league title as a junior set a school record for most digs in a match (29) and season (390) in her junior year earned a silver medal at the 1994 Junior Olympics in Austin, Texas Orange County Register Scholar-Athlete choice as a junior . . . also played for the Power Volleyball Club alongside current teammate Jill Meyers. |
