Track - 2/8/2010 A-10 Rookie Performer Of The Week Goes To JenssenThe Atlantic 10 Conference announced on Monday afternoon that freshman Michelle Jenssen was the A-10 Women's Indoor Track and Field Rookie Performer of the Week. This marks the third consecutive week that a UMass athlete has received the award. Jenssen has been the Minutewomen's top runner in the 400 meters this season, and was recognized for her efforts at the Giegengack Invitational. MORE W. The Minutewomen produced multiple scorers and were able to sustain their intensity over the long two-day meet. MOREW. The Minutewomen were able to post some strong performances from multiple athletes at the Connecticut meet, including setting a school record in the distance medley relay. MOREW. The team is coming off of a very respectable third place finish at the Reebok Boston Indoor Games. The Minutewomen have been improving each week. The squad's seniors have been consistently good and the freshman newcomers have been making enormous strides. MORE W. Track - 2/1/2010 A-10 Rookie Of The Week Nomination Goes To BaldwinFreshman Courtney Baldwin was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie Performer of the Week on Monday afternoon. Baldwin has been able to put together a consistently good start to the 2010 season, and has been one of the conferences top mid distance runners. The nomination comes a week after freshman pole vaulter Nicole Pompei was named A-10 Rookie Performer of the Week. MORE W. Track - 1/30/2010 Heinricher, Wilson Lead UMass At Reebok Boston GamesThe UMass women's track and field team took third place overall out of seventeen teams at today's Reebok Boston Indoor Games. The Minutewomen were led once again by Lisa Wilson who contributed 15 points to the team total of 82. Northeastern won the meet with 135.25 points followed by South Florida with 112 points.
