AMHERST, Mass. - Following their standout performances this weekend Katie Ferris and Courtney Kromko have been selected as this week's UMass Co-Athletes of the Week. The duo will be honored this Wednesday at 12:00 PM in the Massachusetts Room of the Mullins Center. This week's guest speakers are UMass Head Coach John Micheletto and Brock Hines as they wrap up the 2013-14 hockey season and look to what is ahead for the program.

Ferris led the women's lacrosse team to a 2-0 weekend with 10 points on six goals and four assists while also posting two groundballs, two draw controls and one caused turnover. Seven of her 10 points came in the 18-2 win over Saint Joseph's where she had four goals and three assists giving her 300 career points - one of just two active NCAA players to reach the milestone.

The senior's 7-point effort marked the 14th time in her career that she has produced seven-or-more points in a game. Additionally, her third assist of the day gave her the UMass career record with 107 over the past four years.

Ferris now owns the UMass program's all-time points record (300), goals record (193) and assist record (107). In the 19-10 win over La Salle on Friday, the Carthage, N.Y., native had two goals, one assist, two groundballs, a draw control and a caused turnover.

Courtney Kromko played a large part in the women's track and field team's first place effort as the Minutewomen downed the University of Connecticut, University of Rhode Island and Boston College at the UConn Invitational on Saturday.

The junior posted the best leap in the Atlantic 10 with her first place performance in the long jump. Kromko set a mark of 18-feet, 10.75-inches in order to beat out 25 other competitors.

The buffet luncheon is held from noon to 1:15 PM with a cost of $13 per person. The program will begin at 12:15 PM and free parking will be available at the rear of the Mullins Center.
