BOSTON - Three individuals from the women's track team competed at the ECAC Championships held at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center this past weekend.

Senior Christina Huff (Springfield, Mass.) finished 14th in the 60-meter dash (7.83 seconds) semi-finals. Fellow Springfield native junior Elisabeth Budd took 14th in the 500 meters with her time of 1:15.99.

Freshman pole vaulter Kristen Bakanowski (Northboro, Mass.) finished in a tie for 16th-place with her height of 11-feet, 7.75 inches.

Junior James Godinho (Sandwich, Mass.) led UMass this weekend at the IC4A/ECAC Champioships. Godinho posted the top individual performance of either the men's or women's team.

Godinho took eighth in the 500 meters running a 1:04.20 to record the only top 10 finish for either squad.

Joining Godinho at the IC4A Championships hosted by Boston University were senior Joe McCormack (Wrentham, Mass.) and freshman Sean Calicchio (Brooklyn, N.Y.)

McCormack finished 11th in the 55-meter dash semi-finals in 6.54 seconds failing to qualify him for the finals in the event. Calicchio took 21st in the shot put with a mark of 47-feet, 5.25 inches.

Both the men's and women's track and field teams will break until the spring outdoor season starts up. The Minutewomen will return to action on April 2 when they compete in the Southern Connecticut State Invitational. The men's team will head to the Adidas Raleigh Relays hosted by N.C. State on March 25-26.
