ROXBURY, Mass. - UMass finished the 2012 indoor season on Sunday afternoon at the ECAC Championships. Karen Roa (Jamaica, N.Y.), and both the distance medley relay and 4x800 meter relay teams competed well in the tournament.

  • Roa finished the 3000 meter run in 9:53.83 and placed 20th overall. After a sixth place finish in the preliminaries, the 4x800 meter relay team placed ninth in the finals. Katie Powers (Holbrook, Mass.), Courtney Neves (New Bedford, Mass.), Courtney Baldwin (Lowell, Mass.) and Sarah Bitterman (Marblehead, Mass.) contributed to the ninth place finish with a time of 9:26.31. The UMass distance medley relay squad consisted of Courtney Baldwin, Michelle Jenssen (Mansfield, Mass.), Katie Powers, and Rachel Hilliard (Hookstown, Pa.). The Minutewomen finished the relay with a time of 12:10.86, the time was good enough for 19th place in the tournament.
