Track & Field Enjoys Success at GoRhody InviteSeven first place finishers and five New England qualifiers highlight UMass' success at GoRhody Invite. 2010-11 (Sophomore): Outdoor Track: Led the team in the hammer throw and the discus throw...Her highest mark in the hammer came at the AIC Invite (128-00) and her highest mark in the discus came at the UMass Pre-Conference Meet (119-05)...Also threw shot put and had a season high mark of 40-03.25. Indoor Track: Threw the shot put and had a season-high throw at NECs (40-03.25). Had the team high throw in the weight throw with a toss of 45-00.25. 2009-10 (Freshman): Outdoor Track: At the New England Championships (5/8), notched 13th place in the shot put with a toss of 37-10.00...At the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/2), placed 15th in both the discus (113-10) and shot put (38-07.00)...Captured third place in the shot put (40-01.25), fourth place in the discus (115-11), and ninth place in the hammer throw (120-01) at the UNH Pre-Conference Meet (4/24)...Posted a mark of 111-02 and a 15th place finish in the hammer throw at the Larry Ellis Invitational (4/17)...Took 11th place in the discus (105-11), 13th place in the shot put (35-06.50), and 21st place in the hammer throw (105-06) at the UMass Nine-Way Meet (4/10)...At the UConn Invite (4/3), placed 10th in the hammer throw with a mark of 94-10 and placed 12th in the shot put with a distance of 35-00.50...Also took ninth in the discus (106-04) at the meet...Indoor Track: Competed in the shot put and weight throw during her freshman season... At the Atlantic 10 Championships (2/19), set her best mark of the season in the shot put by throwing for 36-04.75... Also threw for a mark of 29-11.25 in the weight throw at the meet... Posted her top mark of the season in the weight throw at the URI Invitational (1/23) by tossing for a mark of 32-08.50. |
