The team will travel to Mackal Fieldhouse in Kingston R.I. Friday morning for the GoRhody Invitational.
Six New England Championship qualifiers, five first place finishes and 33 top eight performances propel the Minutewomen to a first place finish with 175.50 points in their 2012 outdoor season opener at the AIC Invitational.
On April 7, UMass will make the short trip to Springfield, Mass. to compete in the AIC Invitational and open their 2012 outdoor campaign.
Karen Roa and a pair of relays wrap up the indoor season at the ECAC Championships at Reggie Lewis Track in Roxbury, Mass.
The ECAC Championships could mark the finish line for the 2012 indoor season, unless one of the Minutewomen can qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

As a junior in 2012: Outdoor: Competed in one meet, running in the 1,500 meter run ... Finished third in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:43.45 at the AIC Invitational (4/7). Indoor: Competed in six meets, running in the distance medley relay, 4x800 meter relay, mile run and 1,000 meter run ... Finished ninth at the ECAC Championships in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 9:26.31 (3/4) ... Recorded her season best time of 5:10.25 in the mile run at the New England Championships while recording the team's best time in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 9:23.91 (2/24) ... Competed in the mile run at the A-10 Championships (2/17) ... Finished fifth in the 1,000 meter run and placed third in the distance medley relay at the GoRhody Invitational (1/21) ... As a sophomore in 2011: Indoor: Participated in the 1000 meter run and the mile run...Her best time in the 1000 came at the A-10 Championship meet where she ran a time of 3:03.83...Her best time in the mile run was 5:10.68.
As a freshman in 2010: Outdoor: Helped the 4X800 meter relay set the second fastest all-time mark at UMass with a time of 9:04.30 and a sixth place finish at the ECAC Championships (5/16)...Was the team's top 1500 meter run athlete...Finished 19th overall in the 1500 meters at the New England Championships (5/8) by crossing at 4:38.74...Placed fifth in the 1500 meters at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/2) by crossing at 4:33.58...Also at the A-10s, helped the 4X800 meter relay team finish fifth and set an ECAC Championship qualifying mark (9:08.28)...Competed in the 800 meter run on one occasion, taking 10th with a time of 2:19.18 at the UNH Pre-Conference Meet (4/24)...Qualified for the New England Championships in the 1500 meters at the UConn Invitational (4/3), placing second with a time of 4:37.43. Before UMass: Ran indoor and outdoor track for Lowell High School under Coach Patrick Swett ...As a senior, finished eighth in the 800m outdoors at the Massachusetts state championships with a time of 2:17.45, to set the school record at Lowell High ... Finished sixth in the 300m and fifth in the 400m at the state meet as a freshman and sophomore, respectively ...
