AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass women's tennis team will host a pair of dual matches this weekend at the Bay Road Tennis Center as Atlantic 10 foe Fordham visits on Saturday with Binghamton to follow on Sunday. The match against Binghamton will be televised live on CBS3 Now and streamed live on UMassAthletics.com/All-Access. Both matches will begin at 12:30 PM.

  • UMass is coming off a 6-1 win over Quinnipiac last Sunday and stand at 7-2 overall this year with a 2-0 record against Atlantic 10 teams. Currently four Minutewomen have winning records this season led by Jessica Podlofsky who has an 8-1 mark in dual matches.

    The Minutewomen have also been tough in doubles play with a 22-5 record this year. The duo of Yuliana Motyl and Chantal Swiszcz have anchored UMass with an 8-1 record in the No. 1 position, while Sonia Bokhari and Chanel Glasper are 5-2 (4-2 at No. 2) and Podlofsky and Arielle Griffin are 6-2 (5-1 at No. 3) on the season.

    Fordham enters the weekend with a 2-3 overall record with a win over Albany last Sunday snapping a three-game losing skid. The Rams were slated to play Seton Hall on Friday, but the match was cancelled.

     

     

    Binghamton is 3-6 on the year and will play at Harvard on Saturday before coming to Amherst on Sunday.
