Day Two Of Big Green Invite Concludes

HANOVER, N.H. - The UMass women's tennis team wrapped up the second day of competition at Dartmouth's Big Green Invitational on Saturday. Jessica Podlofsky continued her successful tournament run, recording a doubles win and a singles win in three sets. The Minutewomen played the majority of their matches against Boston University on day two. Podlofsky's singles win came against Sami Lieb of BU (6-2, 4-6, 6-3). The sophomore also contributed a doubles win along with Chanel Glasper as the duo took down St. John's doubles pairing of Nakita Austin and Ece Firat, 8-4. Also in the doubles draw, Sonia Bokhari and Gianna Francis notched an 8-6 victory over St. John's. Recording singles wins for UMass were Chanel Glasper, Emilie Burgess and Yuliana Motyl. Glasper defeated Kendal Drake of Boston University 6-4, 6-0 while Burgess took down BU's Marina Fileva 6-0, 6-3. Motyl defeated BU's Leonie Athanasiadis 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. The final day of competition will be Sunday, November 6.
