The third-seeded Minutewomen seized the momentum after earning a hard-fought doubles point in defeating Duquesne, 4-0. Vying for its first title since 2001, UMass juniors Sasha Edelstein and Jafra Depontes posted wins in straight sets at the Nos. 3 and 4 singles flights, respectively.

The Minutewomen take on Xavier in the semifinal round at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 17.
