AMHERST, Mass. - With her doubles win against Holy Cross, senior captain Masha Pozar (Ljubljana, Slovenia) became the winningest doubles player in UMass history as the Minutewomen went on to defeat Holy Cross, 7-0 in the 10th match-up between the two teams. The series is now tied at five all.

UMass doubles cruised by their foes with the No. 1 and 2 doubles teams routing both of their Holy Cross opponents, 8-0. Pozar and her partner Candynce Boney (Las Vegas, Nev.) won their eighth match of the spring season bringing Pozar's career total to 68.

UMass singles also took down their opponents losing just six games on the day. Laura Danai (Holyoke, Mass.) and Lauren MacKay (Redding, Conn.) both took down their opponents in a 6-0, 6-0 fashion losing no games on the day. Three other Minutewomen [Pozar, Tanisha Hodgson (Savaneta, Aruba), and Maude Lecluyse (Montreal, Canada)] lost on one game to their Holy Cross foes.

The Minutewomen are back in action Saturday, March 29, at Noon against the Blackbirds of Long Island at the Bay Road Tennis Courts.
