BOCA RATON, Fla. - The University of Massachusetts fell to Florida Atlantic in women's collegiate tennis action, 6-1, Wednesday in Boca Raton, Fla. The loss dropped UMass to 3-8 in the spring portion of its schedule. The Minutewomen will take on Lynn on Thursday to conclude their Florida road trip.

UMass dropped all three of its doubles matches to give the point to the Lady Owls and earned its only singles victory when junior captain Susan Hyams (Cincinnati, Ohio) defeated Stephanie Beaulieu, 6-4, 3-6 (7-6), at No. 6 singles.

Massachusetts will face Lynn today in a match that was originally scheduled for Monday, but was postponed until today due to rain earlier in the week.
