WEST POINT, N.Y. - With its second 7-0 sweep of the weekend, the UMass women's tennis team defeated Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday morning for its third win in as many dual matches at Army's Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The 7-0 win over the Knights marked the second in as many matches and third sweep of the year for the Minutewomen who improve to 6-1 overall.

Prior to Sunday's win, UMass had defeated Army 4-3 on Friday before dispatching St. Bonaventure 7-0 on Saturday.

In Sunday's match, the Minutewomen took the doubles point by winning all three matches. Yuliana Motyl and Chantal Swiszcz picked up a win in the No. 1 spot (8-4), while Jessica Podlofsky and Arielle Griffin won the No. 2 doubles match (8-5). Sonia Bokhari and Chanel Glasper cruised to an easy 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles.

In singles action, the Minutewomen won all six matches. At No. 2 singles, Jessica Podlofsky and FDU's Egzona Morina battled through three sets before determining the winner. Morina won the first set 6-4, but Podlofsky battled back to take the second set 7-5. The tie-breaker was a back-and-forth affair with Podlofsky prevailing 11-9.

UMass will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 20 in a dual match at Dartmouth before returning home to host Quinnipiac on Sunday (Feb. 24) at the Bay Road Tennis Center.
