WEST POINT, N.Y. - The UMass women's tennis team swept Atlantic 10 foe St. Bonaventure 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. UMass won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles matches en route to the win. Injuries to the Bonnies squad forced St. Bonaventure to forfeit the No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles with just five players competing.

The Minutewomen (5-1, 2-0 A-10) will return to action on Sunday against Fairleigh Dickinson to wrap up their three dual match series in West Point.

In doubles action against the Bonnies on Saturday, Yuliana Motyl and Chantal Swiszcz took a tough 8-5 win over Fatya Amiri and Marissa Brossard in the No. 1 match. Arielle Griffin and Chanel Glasper then cruised past Kathryn Kvas and Riley Archer 8-0 in No. 2 doubles.

Motyl also won the No. 1 singles match in a tight contest against Amiri holding off St. Bonaventure's top player 6-3, 6-4.

Sonia Bokhari, Jessica Podlofsky and Jocelyn Providence also won two set matches in the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles spots, respectively.

Swiszcz wrapped up the day with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins in No. 5 singles over Jillian Hammell.
