AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts women's tennis team edged St. John's University, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at the Bay Road Tennis Center. The Minutewomen remained undefeated on the season and are now 4-0. This was their first dual match of the spring after going going 3-0 in the fall portion of their schedule. UMass will look for five in a row tomorrow as it hosts Syracuse at 12:30 PM.

Doubles

1. Freshman Masha Pozar (Ljublijana, Slovenia) and sophomore Michele Spiess (Stuttgart, Germany) def. Hande Gorur and Lauren Leo, 8-5.

2. Junior Dorothy Iwanowicz (Hilton Head, S.C.) and junior Susan Johnson (Annapolis, Md.) def. Allison Davidson and Barbora Blahutiakova, 8-6.

3. Kristina Bothova and Lauren Lorenzetti def. junior Jana Bartoloni (Charlestown, Mass.) and senior Sasha Edelstein (Haifa, Israel), 8-4.
