Butler Named On CSCAA All-American List

Michaela Butler was named on The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-American list, which was released last Tuesday. Butler joins 255 Division I All-Americans and 231 Honorable Mention All-Americans. Butler became the first All-American in UMass and Atlantic 10 history this year as she finished fourth on the one-meter springboard at this years NCAA meet. MORE

UMass women's swimming and diving coach, Bob Newcomb, and deputy director of the UMass Donahue Institute, Eric Heller, will embark on a cross-country bike ride to raise money and awareness for cancer. The two, who regularly participate in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) will depart from Seaside, Ore. on June 6 with the hopes of finishing their trek at the end of the PMC in Provincetown, Mass. on August 4. Women's Swimming Jumps Up To No. 16 In Final Mid-Major Poll

The UMass women's swimming and diving team has been ranked No. 16 in the final Collegeswimming.com Mid-Major poll that was released Monday. The women jumped five spots from the pre-conference rankings. Harvard took the No.1 spot, with Princeton and Miami (Ohio) rounding out the top-three. MORE

Massachusetts diver Michaela Butler has taken an unorthodox path to the pinnacle of collegiate diving. Michaela Butler Receives UMass Athlete Of The Week Honors Following NCAA Appearance

The UMass Sports Luncheon Committee named Michaela Butler the UMass Athlete of the Week, Monday afternoon, following her performance at the 2013 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. This is Butler's second Athlete of the Week nomination in as many weeks. She will be recognized on Wednesday March 27 in the Massachusetts Room of the Mullins Center. The luncheon will begin at noon, with free parking available to all at the rear of the building. MORE
