Men's And Women's Swimming And Diving 2010-11 Schedules Released

AMHERST, Mass. - The schedule for the 2010-11 season has been announced this week by men's swimming coach Russ Yarworth, women's swimming coach Bob Newcomb and diving coach Mandy Hixon. Highlighting this season's match-ups include three home meets; two for both the men and women plus one additional men's meet.
All the home meets are scheduled to take place at the Joseph Rogers Pool in the Boyden Gymnasium. Both teams will also be making their annual trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico at the beginning of the New Year.
The men are coming off a season in which they won their fourth straight Atlantic 10 title; it was the program's 12th overall. The women will be looking to remain one of the top teams in the A-10 after finishing third last season and in the top four each of the last six years.
Both teams will open the season on Oct. 16 at Boston University. The Minutemen and Minutewomen are slated to have their first home meet at the Rogers Pool on Oct. 23 against Army.
The following home meet will be for the men on Dec. 4 against Yale University while that same weekend the women will be heading to Northeastern to take on the Huskies. The third and final home meet will take place Jan. 21 against Boston College.
For the first meet of 2011, both teams will be heading down to San Juan, Puerto Rico for their annual Loyola Invitational on January 8.
The 2011 Atlantic 10 Championships will be held February 23-26 at Erie Community College in Buffalo, N.Y.
