AMHERST, Mass. - The College Swim Coaches Association of America recognized the UMass women's swimming and diving team for their outstanding academic performance this past season. The Minutewomen were one of just under 200 Division I women's swimming and diving teams honored for having a team GPA over 3.0.

Bob Newcomb's squad was recognized for their 3.15 team GPA this past season. The Minutewomen were tied with both Florida International and North Carolina on the overall list. Leading the group is North Texas with a team GPA of 3.62.

Eight Atlantic 10 teams are on the list, led by 2013 Conference Champion, Richmond with a 3.37 GPA. Xavier, Duquesne, Rhode Island, La Salle and Fordham round out the rest of the group.
