UMass Swimming & Diving Hosts Fordham For Senior Day This Saturday

AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host Fordham this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. In the final home meet of the season, UMass will honor its senior class. Fans may watch the meet online live from the Joseph R. Rogers, Jr. pool on UMassAthletics.com. Senior day ceremonies will begin at 12:45 p.m.

The men's team will honor six seniors including Derek Castellana (Bedford, Mass.), Isacc Ebert (Oxford, Conn.), Zack Priest (Cranston, R.I.), R.J. Rappe (Farmington, Minn.), A.J. Vozella (Weymouth, Mass.), and John Weaver (East Longmeadow, Mass.) on Saturday.

The women's team will honor five seniors including Susan Allen (Pittsford, N.Y.), Samantha Demty (Seekonk, Mass.), Leighanne Kevil (Sparta, N.J.), Colleen McCann (Walpole, Mass.), and Allison Volpe (Pottstown, Penn.).

Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams enter the meet with a 4-2 record in dual meets for the season. The Minutewomen had won four dual meets in a row before suffering their second loss of this season in last weeks meeting with Colgate.

All-time the Minutewomen are 8-3 in dual meets with Fordham, while the men's team is a perfect 10-0.

UMass will head to the New England Open next Saturday, February 9.
