Women's Swimming Duo Sweep Weekly Honors

AMHERST, Mass. - This week the Atlantic 10 Conference recognized both Michaela Butler and Jocelyn Yuen for their outstanding performances this past weekend at the Rhode Island Invitational. Michaela Butler was named women's A-10 Performer of the Week, while Yuen was named women's A-10 Rookie of the Week.
Butler, a redshirt junior out of Dennisport, Mass., receives this honor after sweeping both the one- and three-meter boards this past weekend. She was able to capture the one-meter dive with a score of 268.20, and the three-meter with a score of 294.55. This is her second Performer of the Week nod of the season.
Yuen, a freshman from Princeton, N.J., receives her third Rookie of the Week honor of the season following her three individual wins at the URI Invite. She was able to sweep the butterfly events, pulling times of 57.98 in the 100 and 2:08.07 in the 200. She also took first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:09.79.
The Minutewomen will be back in action this weekend as they take on Bryant University in their final home meet of the 2012-13 season. The meet is set to kick off from Joseph Rogers Pool at 1 p.m., with senior day festivities taking place prior to the meet.
