BUFFALO, N.Y. -- University of Massachusetts senior diver Kate Allery (South Hadley, Mass.) placed sixth in the three-meter dive at the NCAA Zone A Regionals held in Buffalo, N.Y. March 13-15.

Allery tallied 265.70 points in the preliminary round to qualify her for the finals, where she recorded a total score of 429.25 to claim sixth place.

Lisa Silvestri of Penn State finished first in the Zone A Regional with a score of 454.85 in the three-meter dive, with Melissa Kull of UConn (442.55) placing second and Julie Van Deusen of Delaware finishing third (438.20).

Buffalo, N.Y. hosted one of five diving regionals stationed around the country. A total of 41 divers will qualify for the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships held at Auburn University March 20-22.
