Minutewomen Set Three School Records, Move To Fourth In The Standings

AMHERST, Mass. -
Freshman Molly Smyth got the day started off with a record setting finish in the 500-yard freestyle relay. Her time of 4:47.37 was good for seventh place in the event and knocked off Chelsea Downing's record set during the 2009-10 season. In the 50-yard freestyle Amina Meho took eighth in the A-final with a time of 23.79. In the B-final Zoe Judd took ninth place finishing with a time of 23.45 setting a school record in the process. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Meho, Anna Cavanaugh, Hannah Markey and Judd finished with a school record setting time of 1:34.63, good for third in the event. Other top-10 finishes on the day for the Minutewomen came in the 200 IM with an eighth place finish for Katie Arnott finishing with a time of 2:06.64. The Minutewomen dominated on the diving board taking the top two spots in the one-meter dive. Michaela Butler took the top spot and claimed the first gold medal for the women on the week, finishing with a score of 260.85. Last year's one-meter champ Molly Elkins came in second place with a score of 240.85.
