UMass Softball has announced its fall schedule for 2012, including its annual Alumni Weekend. The Minutewomen will play a five-game fall exhibition schedule, with all games taking place at the UMass Softball Complex. The fall slate concludes with the annual Alumni Game on Oct. 6, followed by the banquet that evening, and golf scramble on Oct. 7.

Elaine Sortino's squad will kick off the fall schedule on Saturday, Sept. 22 when it hosts Boston College and Sacred Heart for games at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. A week later, Hartford comes to Amherst for a Sept. 29 doubleheader beginning at noon. A day later on Sept. 30, the Minutewomen will play host to American International and UMass-Lowell for games at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Alumni Weekend begins on Saturday, Oct. 6 with the Alumni Game at noon at the UMass Softball Complex. All UMass softball alums are encouraged to take part and the event will be open to the public.

The festivities continue on the evening of Oct. 6 with the Annual Softball Banquet. Coach Sortino, her staff, and all friends of the program will use the event as a chance to celebrate and honor the 2012 senior class of Kylie Magill, Stephanie Mayne, Stephanie Mix, Sara Plourde and Jordan Storro. The banquet will not only be honoring the accomplishments of the most recent NCAA Tournament squad, but also be formally commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 1992 Women's College World Series Team.

The banquet will be held in the Marriott Room, on the 11th floor of the Campus Center. Cocktails begin at 6:30 p.m. and the dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Tickets to the banquet are $35 per person and reservations can be made by returning the Banquet RSVP Form to:
